I offer clinical supervision and consultation.

My focus is on cultivating a trusting collegial relationship that offers reflective practice, with emphasis on beneficial enhancement within your counseling practice. I use a 5S Model of Structure, Strengths, Skills, Support, and Sustainability. Although I currently live in Nelson, I am in Victoria and Vancouver on a regular basis.

I am interested in providing supervision and consultation for students and practicing counsellors. My work would likely appeal most to those whose practice and orientation fall in the domains of process-oriented, humanistic, and existential approaches. I also make the practice of Mindfulness Meditation available as  an aspect of counselling work and supervisory experience.

    Unpaid Internship Posistion in Victoria

BC FAMILIES IN TRANSITION (formerly known as the Separation and Divorce Resource Centre) is a non-profit organization that has operated in downtown Victoria for 30 years. We provide counselling and therapy in a variety of formats, for adults and children, teens, couples, families, and groups, in addition to legal information and other related services. Over the past two years we have greatly expanded our counselling services, and we involve unpaid interns extensively in our diverse Counselling Team.

The specific involvement and hours of the intern can be negotiated, and can include group counselling as well as daytime, evening, and weekend hours for individual, couple, and family therapy.

You would be working closely with a team of other therapists in a thoroughly positive and welcoming environment. Also, you would be supervised in the following ways: (1) by a Registered Clinical Counsellor in-house, and (2) by an internationally-recognized family therapist (Allan Wade, Ph.D., R.C.C.) in monthly supervision meetings.

BC Families in Transition is committed to providing the highest standard of service to all clients, of all ages. We rely heavily on teamwork and invite enthusiastic and innovative counsellors to contact us.
