BCACC MEETINGS
Region 2 regional meetings are usually held on Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. or Tuesday evenings from 7:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The location of the meetings changes depending on the type of presentation/workshop scheduled. Personality and Spirituality Workshop.
This one-day workshop will explore the integration of mindfulness and spiritual awareness in the clinical setting. An innovative model of working with adolescent and adult attachment issues, and trauma will be presented. The theory of goal oriented empathic attunement in the therapeutic engagement will be described and then practiced by participants. Resourcing clients by utilizing mind-body approaches to resolve attachment and trauma issues will be demonstrated and practiced. The development of an embodied sense of spirituality and the relationship to dissociation, trauma, and attachment issues will be a focus of the therapeutic engagement.
Workshop Presenter
Dr. Ian Macnaughton is a student of meditation, a Bodynamic Analyst and Trainer, Reichian Vegetotherapist, a graduate of the San Diego Gestalt Training Center, Somatic Experiencing Practitioner and trained in Thought Field Therapy, EMDR, Psychodrama and Family Systems. He is in private practice and has an extensive business background. He consults to Family Business Firms, also sits on the Professional Advisory Committee for the Business Family Center at U.B.C. He is a past president of BCACC.

Cost: Early Bird to March 31 - $75, later $100 (includes lunch and snacks)
